This subcommittee reviews legislation specifically related to prescription drugs, the Prescription Drug Affordability Board, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), and the distribution of pharmaceutical products.  Delegate Morgan has served on the pharmaceuticals subcommittee since 2020.  He continues to prioritize market-based solutions and pharmacy choice by advocating for transparency in drug pricing.  He successfully championed legislation to reign in Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs), leveling the playing field so that local, family-owned pharmacies can stay in business. By advocating for transparency in drug pricing, he is working to ensure that Marylanders have more choices at the pharmacy counter and lower costs for essential medications.
