I want all Marylanders to be happy, healthy, prosperous, and free.
In Annapolis, Democrats control every level of state government and hold a supermajority in both chambers of the General Assembly. What have they done with this power recently?
- They passed an education reform that nearly bankrupted the state and adopted a curriculum that has students debating pronouns, when they don't even know what pronouns are.
- They have enacted a Climate Change initiative, based not on science or reality, but on pure ideology. This has forced Maryland to import 40% of its power at extraordinary costs, resulting in skyrocketing electric bills for hardworking families.
- They took a $5.5 billion surplus and turned it into a $3 billion deficit, raising $2 billion in taxes in just two years. The tax and fee increases are so harmful that they now offer a payment plan for car registration fees—treating citizens like they're on layaway.
The next election is a year away, and the Maryland House of Delegates has only 39 Republicans out of 141 members. This is the problem. As Einstein said, "You can't solve problems with the same thinking that created them." Annapolis lacks diverse thought. We must win elections for a less radical, more balanced government.
I am writing you today because I need your help to win re-election and build a stronger coalition. I've been on the front lines in Annapolis, fighting these misguided policies. Like many of you, I believe in limited government, lower taxes, and the values that make America strong.
I've faced criticism from the Left because I refuse to stay silent or back down. While some choose to compromise or avoid confrontation, I've remained firm in my principles—debating on the floor, advocating in committees, and raising awareness through media. I am dedicated to defending our shared values by blocking harmful policies and exposing agendas threatening our freedoms. I believe in taking action to meet these challenges head-on, even when it's difficult.
But standing up for these principles comes at a cost. The relentless attacks from the Left are not just disagreements—they view conservatives like me as obstacles to their vision of a "transformed" America. These attacks take many forms, ranging from media narratives to political strategies to undermine our values and silence dissent. That's why fundraising isn't just important—it's essential. It provides the resources to push back effectively, organize grassroots efforts, mobilize voters, and ultimately win elections to protect our ideals. Without this support, the fight for our shared vision of America becomes much harder.
That's why I'm asking for your help!
To rally our forces and prepare for the battles ahead, I am hosting my annual Christmas Party fundraiser at the Rex Theatre on Thursday, December 11th.
