Last week, a tragic event unfolded as conservative activist and outspoken defender of free speech, Charlie Kirk, was murdered in front of a crowd gathered to hear him speak and engage in open dialogue. Since that day, I have been contacted by numerous people who want to come together to remember and honor the life of Charlie Kirk. First, we’ll be holding a tribute to Charlie Kirk at The Rex in Leonardtown on Tuesday, September 23. This will be an opportunity to reflect on his impact, celebrate his legacy, and stand united in his memory. If you are able, please join me there along with other like-minded individuals who want to mourn Charlie and share his message of optimism and hope for our country.

Second, I have received dozens of questions from people who want to start their own chapter of Turning Point USA, the conservative grassroots organization that Charlie founded and led.

This is happening across the country; Americans are vowing to take meaningful action to ensure that Charlie's message continues to grow.

I'm excited to announce that I have commitments from faculty members at the College of Southern Maryland and at St. Mary's Ryken High School to start TPUSA chapters. I am working to identify willing hosts at St. Mary's College, and plans are underway to establish a county-wide St. Mary's Youth Chapter, which will serve students from any St. Mary's County high school and Homeschoolers.
